JUNIORS NEWS In the Bon Accord SYBA Triples District Qualifier, the Woodend trio of William Milne, Leighann Milne and Kieran Craigen came very close to a major upset and winning the competition. Playing against Newhills, Whitehall, Seafield and Stonehaven, they drew with the favourites Stonehaven and then beat all the remaining teams. This meant that Woodend and Stonehaven finished on 7 points but unfortunately Stonehaven had a superior shot difference (+13 v +10). However it was a great effort from the Woodend trio who played fantastically and represented the club excellently. In the Bon Accord SYBA Singles & Pairs none of our representatives made it through to the final stages. Congratulations to Kieran Craigen who won the Grampian Juniors Singles on Sunday 25th June. Leighann & William Milne also took part in the event. Congratulations to Kieran again, this time on his selection for the Scotland Under 17 squad to play England on the 17th September. Good luck when it comes Kieran. Five of our juniors (pictured), (Kieran, Leighann, William, Rebecca & Matthew) took part in the Bon Accord Under 17 Singles.
